This Hydra Snake System was custom made for a crawl space totaling one hundred linear feet. The crawl space was made ready as for a normal system, It took three men eight hours to trench eight by eight inches deep and wide. The next day we slipped the five lengths of the Hydra Snake System into place in the trench, pinned them down and burmmed them in leaving the top exposed flush with the foundation.
The installation of our exclusive HYDRA SNAKE GL System eliminates the need for an old style river gravel type system. River gravel is solid and limits the system capacity to remove water from your crawl space, restricting the water flow with gravel maintains high moisture levels for a longer period of time taking its toll on the foundation.
Wet or moist gravel will absorb and hold moisture creating conditions for mold, this is exactly what you want to avoid. Preparing the crawl space floor and then placing a heavy plastic barrier that reaches wall to wall and up the foundation walls to the sill plate encapsulates your crawl space area. While the HYDRA SNAKE GL System is keeping the water table below the surface of your crawl space floor by gravity drainage when available and or a 1/3 H.P. Zoeller sump pump installation. The design of our Hydra Snake GL Crawl Space System makes it more effluent than any on the market.
